UPDATE 5/28/24: The Woodford Avenue Water Treatment Plant Improvements Project has been completed and placed into service as of February 27, 2024.
The Woodford Avenue Softening Facility was designed to reduce hardness to between 150 and 200 in the areas of influence of the Woodford Wells (see map below). During the week of 5/27, the softening facility was reducing hardness from 359 to 136 based on data collected by Aquarion Supply Operations. It is also important to note that the hardness levels leaving the facility post-treatment will increase during higher demand periods.

UPDATE 11/27/23: The Woodford Avenue Water Treatment Plant Improvements have been completed with a few remaining items to be addressed. Startup will be this week, by December 1st.
UPDATE 9/1/23: The Woodford Avenue Water Treatment Plant Improvements (Softening) is entering the final stages of construction and testing. The final electrical and controls will be completed in September 2023 with start-up and testing scheduled for September and early October 2023. We appreciate your patience as we get ready to put this project in service.
UPDATE 7/28/23: The project completion date has been extended due to vendor and construction delays. Our new target completion date is the end of August 2023. We thank you for your patience.
